Here's how we remove graffiti from a building facade
- Steam Cleaning
We treat the surface with hot steam, which in most cases causes the paint to peel off. Since this is the least aggressive approach, we start with it. - Treating with a (chemical) cleaning agent
We treat the surface with a harsh but biodegradable cleaning agent. This causes the paint to dissolve in the cleaning agent. However, this is not advisable for every type of surface. - Sandblasting
This is the most effective method for removing graffiti. A special abrasive (containing fine grit) is used to clean the surface under high pressure. - Anti-graffiti coating
To prevent recurrence, we apply an anti-graffiti coating. This makes it harder for paint to adhere to the surface, which is unappealing to street artists. If graffiti is sprayed on it again, it is easy to remove.
