What can you do in advance?
If your basement has flooded, we’ll come to your home as soon as possible. If you haven’t called for help yet, or if help is still on the way, it’s a good idea to take care of a few things yourself (where possible). Here’s what to do:
- Make sure you stay safe
- Turn off the power
- Remove as many belongings and pieces of furniture as possible from the flooded area.
- Try to remove as much water as possible yourself using a bucket or a pump
- Dry the walls
- Clean the walls
